Leigh Hobbs is an artist and author best known in Australia and the UK for the twenty three children’s books he has written and illustrated featuring his characters Old Tom, Mr Chicken, Horrible Harriet, Fiona The Pig, Mr Badger and the FREAKS in 4F.
Leigh was Australian Children’s Laureate in 2016 / 2017 and in 2019 was one of four Children’s book creators honoured with his own ‘Australian Legend ‘ postage stamp.
Leigh’s ceramic Flinders Street Station Tea pot is in the collection of The National Gallery of Victoria and his book ‘Mr Chicken Goes to Paris’ has been a steady seller in The Louvre Museum in Paris for over ten years.
