Fish Creek’s unique standing as a destination for children’s literature and storytelling.

Fishy Stories will enchant children of all ages including those young at heart. It will nurture their aspirations and imaginations. Cultivate love, interest and engagement with  words, literature, art, music and performance. It will provide engagement and work for established and emerging authors, illustrators, artists and performers. Its physical core will be a fillip for local traders, contractors and their community. 

Fishy Stories Festival 2023

The two day festival in Fish Creek is where families both local and visiting will converge on Fish Creek for a weekend of free workshops by authors and illustrators, ticketed children’s performances by Cirque Disarray, Dr Hubble and Luigi Zucchini, selected Writing Challenge stories being performed live by actors and storytellers, presentations from the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, MyLi Libraries and events all day storytelling and story making.
