Love a good mystery? Then drop by the Story Studios Australia/Melbourne Young Writers’ Studio stall for a very fishy tale of suspense, red herrings, and clues! Bring along your spyglass and solve the case of the missing detective (and the missing fish!) using pages from their journal, creating your very own ‘Fishtery’ story! Suitable for sleuths ages 8 and up, but all are welcome to come along for inspiration and writing adventures.

About Bonnie

Bonnie McRae is the Programs and Operations Director at Story Studios Australia/Melbourne Young Writers’ Studio and mentors their Masterclass writers. A screenwriter, novelist and playwright, Bonnie loves stories with magic, mystery and adventure. Bonnie wrote an episode of the ABC’s ATOM Award winning show, Pencil Pals, which is currently on ABC iView. Her 2021 pilot screenplay was nominated for the Monte Miller Award and her short film ‘Unearthed’ has been a finalist at various short film festivals in Australia and abroad.

Story Studios Australia/Melbourne Young Writers’ Studio is a creative story writing hub with programs and workshops in Carlton and Online for kids, teens, adults and schools. Led by practicing writers, all SSA/MYWS workshops are immersive, fun, insightful and designed to inspire a love of story, give writers confidence in their ideas ,and equip them with the tools to bring them to life!
