Boxwars joins the amazing cast of Fishy Stories with their internally famous and infamous underground Boxwars kids workshop. Kids build a recyclable costume to take back their independence from the evil overlord parents at the point of cardboard swords! Join the cardboard rebellion!

Our Fishy Stories program is Silly songs and funny stories. 10.30am and 12pm will be a story time session: Design a fishy badge, or make a funny keyring hands on activity should also keep little hands busy.

Fish Creek Primary School Treasure Hunt

Join Fish Creek Primary School for a magical mystery tour.  Follow riddles and use UV torches, to reveal secret codes and discover Fish Creek through the eyes of the children. Put your codes together and come to our temple of symbols to translate them to reveal our secret message. I wonder what it says.

Better Place Australia

Live book readings including titles such as “Max’s Divorce Earthquake” published by Kinship Books, and other titles by Australian authors who focus on children’s wellbeing in the face of family life’s hardships, will be available in the Better Place Australia marquee also offering referral information regarding not-for-profit family support services for separating families in Gippsland and greater Victoria. 

Marg Haycroft

Margaret will be roaming around, sharing some of their favourite stories, collected during a lifetime of fun and storytelling. 

Marg has been sharing stories with children for over 40 years both in the library, holiday programs and community events. She is well known around South Gippsland having conducted storytime in Korumburra, Mirboo North and Foster libraries for several decades. Now retired from the library, Marg is enjoying more community events to share her passion and skills.
